Looks good, well done! It's wise to use whatever online resources and not reinvent the wheel when possible, and ease your development work. The only reason why I generally prefer to avoid it is related to the somewhat questionable availability of various (free) APIs, the availability of internet connection at all times, and the need to use multiple such sources for everything one might need, that kind of things. ;)
Yup, I agree with you on that regard, we're always afraid of it getting unavailable in the future. Sadly that's the only way to get that stuff.

btw, I edited the code since I noticed it was not taking into account when has dst was true but its active was false.
